From Middle Miocene deposits (MN6, Lower Astaracium) Blanus antiquus sp. nov. is described as the first fossil record of this extant genus.

Nouveaux Matériels de Reptiles du Tertiaire d'Allemagne: 4. Nouveaux Matériels des Tortues (Ptychogaster/Ergilemys) de la Localité Oligocène Moyen de Ronheim (Sud de l'Allemagne) [in French]

For the Middle Oligocene locality of Ronheim fossil turtle material belonging to two genera is described. Thus, for Ptychogaster ronheimensis n.sp., 500 shell elements due to at least 17 different specimens are measured, described and illustrated. For the genus Ergilemys 9 plates, mostly fragmented ones, are also described here.

Zur Verbreitung tertiärer und quartärer Reptilien und Amphibien: I. Süddeutschland [in German]

For the Tertiary of Southern Germany for the first time a list of the fossil amphibian and reptile records is given. Thus, for 83 localities more than 475 records are listed. In a systematical-alphabetical form turtles, lizards, snakes, crocodiles and amphibians are mentioned separately. Distributional maps of the particular taxa are added and their distribution pattern is discussed. For corrections, extensions and updating further contributions are in preparation.
